Assetto Corsa has a wealth of custom made tracks, cars and 'apps' that can be run from inside the car as overlays for timings or car data etc. We'll be including some notable custom made tracks during the season so here is a quick run down on how to install them.
Where to get mods?
All the mods we use will be available here at the bottom of this page. If you want to see what other mods are available check out these website.
How to install tracks
When you download a custom track it will come in a Zip or Rar file that needs to be extracted to the Assetto Corsa directory within steam.
If you browse to this folder you'll see that there are just track folders in here so be careful how the modder has packed his files in the zip. You should see your folder named after the track and within that folder a file called model.ini. You are good to go and the track should appear in game.
How to install cars
We most likely won't include any mod cars in this season but the setup to install cars is the same as tracks but in the following folder.
How to install Apps
As above you need to extract the App in the following folder. You should just have a new folder with the app name and within the folder should be a *.py file.
Once in game you can configure the apps by moving the mouse to the right hand side of the screen until a menu pops up (same applies to VR). Find the icon for your app and click it to so the app pops up and then you can move and configure to your liking.
